Note: The original drawing is signed and dated on the verso 1982-1983. At that time I rented a second floor apartment at 5 Cannon Street, Mattapoisett and was employed as museum conservator at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Several days during the Summer were spent studying and drawing seagulls at the Mattapoisett Park and harbor wharfs. Because the original drawing on paper was susceptible to some distortion I substituted a digital copy of the drawing for framing. The original is kept in the envelope attached at the back of the frame.
